Congratulations to KC-ASTD on Achieving 100% CORE Compliance!
The KC-ASTD Board has bee notified that KC-ASTD has achieved 100% CORE Compliance for 2011!
For anyone not familiar with CORE, it's a set of chapter guidelines from ASTD National. Short for Chapter Operating Requirements, CORE is designed to help chapters deliver consistent benefits to members. Guidelines consist of elements in five key areas: administration, financial, membership, professional development, and communication, which are necessary for running a chapter like a business.
KC-ASTD was also recognized as a Membership STAR for achieving between 35 and 50% joint membership with ASTD National.
Thanks to everyone who helps make our chapter great through your volunteerism and participation!
CPLP Certification
Do you need to know more about CPLP certification and if it's right for you? View a resource or contact our CPLP Director.
“Back to Basics” Brown Bag Series
The series consists of six one-and-a-half-hour classes on a basic training and development skill (e.g., making training more engaging, basics of instructional design, presentation skills, evaluating training, etc.) Classes do not need to be taken sequentially but can be used to close skill gaps you may have in a particular area. Click here for details.
Support Your Local Chapter!

When you do business with ASTD, use our chapter's CHIP code - CH6027! Supporting your chapter enables us to do more on the local level.
The CHIP offers chapters an opportunity to earn additional revenue on purchases their members make from national ASTD, such as national memberships, conference registrations, books, webinars, and classes.
To renew your dues by credit card, click here.
To renew by check, print an invoice and mail it to KC-ASTD.
"KC ASTD was a great way for me to gain exposure to the training field across industries. The wide range of companies represented at monthly meetings guarantees that new perspectives will always be offered. On a more personal note - the relationships I developed through KC ASTD has created new opportunities for me and helped me to explore my career options - My recent hire date at Cerner being the most recent example of this. I would recommend this organization to any individual eager to grow professionally and expand their knowledge base." - Mary Beth Russell
